This is mostly to test an enormous quantity of data. See description below
This graph is build dynamically from data fetched from FreeBase. To somehow limit the number of bars, I asked for people born in the XIX century. This also provided me with people who most probably do have a date of death, so the bar has an end. Anyway, the service returns only the first 100 entries by default so, in the end, the number of bars is no more than a hundred. The people were put into categories based on the first profession listed, the colors for them assigned dynamically.
The query can be seen in the Query Editor.
Zooming in towards the edges, where there are less bars to be shown, will display the bars without overlapping and then much taller. As more bars come into view, the bars will get shorter and start overlapping. The cursor can be left to rest on a bar and its text and dates will be shown.
Both the images and descriptions are quite large so when an event bar does have either, the pop up will show up out of whack. They also take some time in loading so if you click on an event bar too soon, the pop-up will show empty. You can try again later. Usually, the event bars close to the middle of the graph are the ones that load first, those at the top will take longer.
The bottom half of the graph is empty since all the events shown are range events, none is a point event (with only one date instead of a range)
